Our quality systems are audited on several occasions a year, both internally and by customers and public authorities. This ensures that Glacio has procedures in place which comply with applicable regulations at all times. The quality routines are built around a set of goals and values linked to quality and HSE. Organisation and responsibility for the various tasks are clearly defined between the board, management and employees.
Storage systems, tracing and quality
Glacio has established systems which meet customer and regulatory requirements regarding documentation and traceability. At our coldstore facilities, we use electronic tracking for all products in and out of the warehouse based on barcode labelling. Our customers can obtain a complete overview of their inventory at any time with tracking information, arrival date and shelf-life date. We also provide reports documenting all dispatches and shipments we have carried out on behalf of our customer.
Safety
Glacio continuously monitors temperature and other critical operating data electronically at its warehouses. This monitoring is linked to alarm centres which are staffed 24/7 all year round.
Our warehouses are exclusively operated by our own employees. Our premises are monitored by video surveillance, and we have installed intruder alarms which are connected to security companies.

Food safety in transport
Our comprehensive quality manual describes all the necessary procedures to ensure that your goods remain in a documented unbroken cold chain. Our drivers monitor the temperature during loading, and sensors in the trucks continuously log the temperature during refrigerated and frozen transport. An automatic notification will be sent to the traffic managers in the event of a temperature discrepancy. In the transport system, we are able to log documentation from each assignment, including data such as temperature, sender and receiver.
